This article sets out the coverage policy of Wizardry Wiki; that is, what topics are considered relevant enough to the Wizardry game franchise to merit coverage in some form on the wiki, and the detail in which those topics should be covered.

In general, the subject matter of an article should have some notable, direct connection to the Wizardry game franchise in order to be considered eligible for coverage on Wizardry Wiki. This naturally includes all information contained in the official Wizardry series titles originally developed by Sir-Tech and various developers such as Drecom, which should be covered in full depth. Similar and successors games, such as Elminage, may be considered eligible for more limited coverage. The extent to which these games should be covered is discussed below. Whether or not an eligible subject is deserving of its own article, or should be merged with other, related subjects into a single article, is generally intended to be left to editors' discretion.

Please note that this article is not necessarily exhaustive, and it may be regularly updated or otherwise altered. To discuss changes to this policy, such as proposed additions and removals, please visit the talk page. The staff encourages you to check this page, and its talk page, regularly, to stay informed of such changes and discussions. If you are uncertain whether or not a subject is eligible for coverage, please contact an administrator, either on their talk page, or via social media such as Discord.

As the primary focus of the wiki, naturally all information pertaining to the main Wizardry series should be covered here. This includes, but is not limited to, the games' characters, items, gameplay mechanics, major story events, and so on. Canceled titles such as Wizardry: Stones of Arnhem, and content removed from games' final releases, are also eligible for coverage; all known information should be covered on the wiki.

However, unless otherwise stated by reputable sources such as Sir-Tech or Drecom themselves, these publications may not qualify as canon with regard to the games of the Wizardry series, and details concerning the events occurring within should not be included as part of characters' biographies or personality descriptions. Such information may, however, be included in separate sub-sections, and should be noted as referring to characters' manga/anime personae.

For the other dungeon crawlers and role-playing games that doesn't have close-resemblances such as Diablo, Dungeon Master and 1991 Eye of the Beholder are out-of-scope.

Non-Wizardry franchise

As mentioned above, any coverage about a subject outside of the franchise are not eligible, unless it's part of collaboration with Wizardry IP or related. This also means Wizards & Warriors computer game, despite being designed by David W. Bradley but completely sets in different universe will not be covered here. In addition, Grimoire: Heralds of the Winged Exemplar, despite being successor to cancelled title must never be covered here due to one of the programmer being allegedly for discriminations.

This includes Sir-Tech and Drecom, as well as individuals such as Andrew C. Greenberg. These articles should primarily focus on the person/company's involvement with the Wizardry series, with brief sections discussing notable other endeavours, biographical events, and so on. Other information should be taken to external sources, such as Wikipedia.
