Blade & Bastard is an original light novel series sets in worldview of Wizardry written by Kumo Kagyu and illustrated by so-bin of Goblin Slayer and Overlord fame respectively. It was published by DRE Novels in December 9, 2022[1] beginning with the first volume in Japan, the light novel was also officially translated into several languages including English, Simplified Chinese, Thailand and Korea.
A webmanga adaptation illustrated by Makoto Fūgetsu was made in June 7, 2023, published by DRE Comics. Later followed by standalone printed book release in October 25, 2023.
An upcoming anime adaptation was announced since October 20, 2024 with the release date has yet to be determined.
Characters

Blade & Bastard (series)/Characters
- Iarumas: An amnesiac adventurer. Retrieves the bodies of fallen adventurer from the dungeon at the request of the temple.
- Garbage: An adventurer who rescued by Iarumas. The "Monster's Leftovers," who speaks more like a dog than person.
- Raraja: A strange turn of fate leads him to exploring the dungeon with Iarumas and the others.
- Ainikki: An elven woman of the cloth in the service of God. Looks out for Iarumas and Garbage.
- Sezmar: A Fighter who leads the ultimate party. This jovial man is also friends with Iarumas.
- Berkanan: A novice magician girl came from the East with an exceptionally large-framed.
- Orlaya: A rhea girl who used to be in the same clan in Raraja.
- Sarah: An elven priest who is a member of the All-Stars.
